How to water the late growth of garlic

In the early autumn, the air turned cold and the onions began to thrive, but the temperature was still high and the plants grew slowly. The water requirement is not high and watering should be reduced. Watering should be carried out in the morning and evening. Avoid watering at noon to reduce ground temperature and affect root growth. In late August, when the average temperature in North China is below 24°C, the welsh onion grows into a prosperous period. On average, l leaves can be grown every 7-8 days. The phyllotaxis is high, and the larger the leaves, the longer the life of each leaf. In this period, the management of water and fertilizer should be strengthened. Once the growth is affected by the lack of water and fertilizer, it will seriously reduce the output. Generally, water is poured once every 4 to 5 days. The amount of water should be large and the water in the trench should be even. High-yield plots need to be watered 7 to 8 times during the frost-fall period to keep the ground moist. After the frost falls, the temperature drops, the green onions basically grow into the full period of the pseudo-stem, the plants grow slowly, the water requirement decreases, but the soil needs to be kept moist, so that the pseudo-stem is grouted, the leaves are hypertrophied, and the glue is full, and the fresh light blue is tender. This period still has to be filled with 1 or 2 times of water. If the water shortage is dry, the leaves will be soft and loose, the light blue will be loose, the yield will be reduced, and the quality will be deteriorated. Stop watering 7 to 10 days before harvest to facilitate harvesting and storage.
