First, the cause of melon
1. High temperature caused by melon. The daytime temperature was higher than 32°C and nighttime was higher than 18°C. Photosynthesis was blocked, and respiratory consumption increased rapidly, resulting in malnutrition and metamorphosis. 2. Too close to cause melon. Cucumber roots are mainly concentrated on near-surface, with high density, and the roots compete for nutrients in the soil, while shoots and leaves in the ground compete for space, light transmission, air permeability is reduced, photosynthetic efficiency is low, and consumption is increased, resulting in melons.
3. Continuous low temperature caused by the cloudy melon. Due to the low number of hours of sunshine in early spring, photosynthesis and root absorption capacity are affected when low temperatures continue to occur on cloudy days, resulting in malnutrition and melons.
4. Water and fertilizers cause melons. Photosynthesis is based on roots absorbing water and fertilizer as raw materials, and the assimilation of material is also carried out using water as medium. If the supply of water and fertilizers is insufficient, photosynthetic products may be reduced, which may cause melons to grow. On the contrary, high temperatures, excess supply of nitrogen fertilizers, and cucumbers are also prone to produce melons.
5. The bottom melon causes the melon to melon. It usually takes 6-10 days from flowering to harvesting of cucumbers. 6. Disease caused by melons. Second, control methods
Because of the high temperature caused by the melon, in the cultivation should be strengthened ventilation, during the day when the temperature in the greenhouse should reach 25 °C ventilation, the night temperature of not less than 15 °C under the premise of delaying closing as much as possible. Due to the excessive density of the melons, a reasonable density should be determined according to the cucumber varieties, 3000-3500 strains are planted per acre.
