4. **Chemical Treatment**: Apply 0.5% to 1% sulfuric acid or 0.5% formaldehyde solution to semi-dried chicken manure, then dry and crush it before packaging.
When adding chicken manure to animal diets, the recommended amounts vary depending on the type of livestock:
- For piglets: 5% to 10%
- For finishing pigs: 15% to 30%
- For sheep: 20% to 35%
- For beef cattle: up to 40%
- For dairy cows: 10% to 30%
- For chickens: 5% to 10%
It’s important to use fresh, uncontaminated chicken manure and avoid adding extra calcium sources unless necessary. Also, it’s not advisable to feed chicken manure to laying hens or animals within 15 days of slaughter. Always ensure that grain-based feeds are supplemented appropriately for balanced nutrition.
