This year, the incidence of wheat aphids in our province is relatively large and the degree of harm is heavy. Experts remind farmers friends to seize the time to control wheat aphids. According to experts, the peak period of wheat aphid damage occurs from the end of April to early May. Since the temperature was higher this year than in the same period this year, pests entered a peak period of about 15 days in advance. At present, 85 to 90% of wheat fields in our province have been harmed by locusts to varying degrees. The number of locusts per 100 plants ranges from 7,000 to 8,000, and the highest number is 10,000. In particular, high-yield wheat fields and insect pests are more serious. Experts reminded farmers that timely use of pyrethroid pesticides such as imidacloprid spray control, sprayed once every 3 days, the insect situation can be basically controlled. If delays occur, the output of wheat will be affected to varying degrees.
