Today marks the five-year anniversary of the day Chris and I drained our parents’ bank accounts, got sick, and entered into wedded bliss. It couldn’t have been better, really.

Upon returning from our honeymoon, and the night before we were going to see all our friends and family again, we got ourselves into quite the pillow fight. It ended with Chris sporting an obnoxious black eye for about a week. Concealer didn’t work. I tried. He still loved me.

When we hit almost a month of marriage, we thought it would be fun to host a dinner party and invite our friends over. I planned a full menu: Fiesta Lime Chicken, Spanish Rice, and Fried Plantains. Everything was running smoothly until Chris decided to head upstairs for a shower, and I thought it was the perfect time to make the Fried Plantains. After a fire erupted in our kitchen, I calmly told him the kitchen was on fire and called the Fire Department. He ran down the stairs grabbing a towel on his way. After a few minutes, my hero put the fire out using his towel. So there he stood, naked, in our kitchen as I let him know he might want to put some pants on since we’d be having the Firemen over for dinner. He still loved me.

On our one-month anniversary, he gave me a fire extinguisher. I still loved him.

Many adventures and a few years later, we’re more in love than ever. Because we’re in such wedded bliss, I want to share a few of my favorite Bliss products with you—like the slightly fun and flirty scented blood orange + white pepper body butter. Every time I use it, Aliyah is constantly sniffing me, saying, “Mommy, you smell goods.” If my two-year-old likes it, I think you will too.

I randomly picked up a few of their products here and there, and then last year, when we were in San Francisco, the hotel stocked our room with all things Bliss. It was divine.
