Through the active joint defense of the cadres and masses over the past few years, the epidemic of orange fruit fly of the city has basically been controlled, and most of the fruit rate in the orange orchard has fallen below 2%. However, according to my survey of several remaining heavy epidemics in mid-March, the amount of overwintering was still relatively large. In some places, the epidemic rebounded quite severely. The city's seven epidemic areas have an average amount of 25.7 heads per square meter, with a maximum of 159 heads per square meter, which is the highest in years. The main reason is that sporadic orange orchards are completely out of control.
Seizing the opportunity to effectively grasp the ground-fighting of Bactrocera dorsalis is the key to prevention and control of Bactrocera dorsalis this year. According to the results of experiments and investigations conducted by our station in recent years, the following prevention and control measures are proposed:
1. On April 15-30, mu with high-quality carbofuran 2-3 kilograms of fine soil 50 kilograms. The whole garden is applied, and after the application of the pesticide, the shallow surface of the ground can destroy the tunnel and cause some of the skeletons to be exposed to death. The effect is better.
2. On May 5-20, at the peak of adult emergence, the ground spraying of chlorpheniramine and methyl isofluosaphos 1000 times 1-2 times will kill the newly emerged adults.
