It’s one of those days where everything feels a little scattered but also oddly comforting. The weather outside is gloomy, matching my mood slightly, but at least it gives me time to unwind before a busy stretch ahead. Tomorrow, I’m heading to a bridal shower, and next week is packed with a family photoshoot and wrapping up projects at Relish Studios. To top it off, my daughter brought home her class pet, Max, a cute little green lizard, and I thought you’d enjoy seeing how they’re settling in.
1) My daughter has reached that magical age where she can officially "adopt" a class pet for the week. This little guy, Max, is already winning hearts around here. She’s even teaching him tricks—well, as much as a lizard can learn! In this photo, she’s introducing him to her dolls, who seem equally fascinated.
2) With both of us (myself included) traveling quite a bit toward the end of November and into December, we decided to get a head start on our holiday spirit. Setting up the Christmas tree felt odd without the crisp autumn air or falling snow, but there’s something cozy about sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace while singing along to carols. It made the whole experience feel festive despite the lack of seasonal backdrop.
3) Lately, I’ve found myself in the kitchen a lot, experimenting with recipes. Last weekend, I baked a massive batch of cinnamon rolls. They didn’t last long—they never do—but they were worth every second of effort. If you're looking for a simple yet delicious treat, definitely give them a try!
4) Speaking of progress, the nursery is slowly coming together. Every little detail adds excitement, knowing soon it’ll be filled with laughter and tiny footsteps.
So, that’s the gist of my day so far. Life’s unpredictable, but moments like these remind me why I love sharing snippets of my journey. Back to work I go, but first, let me wish you a fantastic weekend ahead. See you Sunday for another edition of Sunday Citar!
PS: If you’ve been following along, you know how much I value transparency. Whether it’s recommending products or sharing personal updates, my goal remains consistent—to keep things real and relatable. Thanks for sticking around!
