It’s Friday

And let’s just say, it’s one of *those* days. The kind where everything feels a little scattered but also oddly comforting. It’s overcast today, and we’ve got a beautiful family photoshoot planned for tomorrow at Relish Studios. Plus, I’ve got a busy schedule ahead—designing, editing, and even a bridal shower to attend tonight. So, I thought I’d share some random photos I snapped earlier. They’re not fancy or perfectly curated, but they capture the randomness of life right now.

Let me tell you what’s been going on lately:

1) My daughter, Aliyah, has reached the age where she can bring home a “class pet,” and this week, it’s Max—the adorable green lizard. She’s absolutely thrilled to have him stay with us, and she’s been keeping a daily journal about their adventures. In this photo, you can see her introducing Max to her “babies,” who seem equally intrigued.

2) With all of us (especially me!) running around nonstop at the end of this month and into December, we decided to put up our Christmas decorations early. There’s something magical about bringing holiday cheer into the house when it’s still technically fall outside. We skipped the snowfall outside the window, but the warmth inside made up for it. Hot cocoa by the fire, Christmas tunes playing softly in the background—it felt like the perfect cozy moment.

3) Lately, I’ve been in a baking groove. Just last weekend, I made a big batch of cinnamon rolls, and let me tell you—they were divine. Sticky, gooey perfection. If only I could share the scent of fresh-baked cinnamon with you all!

4) Progress continues in the baby’s room! We’re slowly transforming it into a sweet little sanctuary, and every step forward feels like a win.
