Remembering the Bump // A Maternity Shoot

Sure! Here's the rewritten content: --- As I look back on each of my pregnancies, the approach to maternity photos has always been a little different. With my first, we focused on just the two of us as a couple. For the second, we added our toddler into the mix, which made things a bit more challenging but equally beautiful and joyous. This time around, everything felt unique, and I really wanted something special to mark this final pregnancy. A few weeks before Skylar arrived, I had a photoshoot planned to reflect how relaxed and at peace I was feeling this time. Instead of fancy outdoor shoots, I chose something simpler—capturing quiet, intimate moments between just the two of us. I wanted to document what it felt like to carry this little life inside me, especially in the space where I’d soon be cradling him in my arms. We ended up creating these beautiful, soft images in the comfort of my own bedroom, using natural light and cozy props like blankets and pillows. It was such a personal and meaningful experience. Those photographs will stay with me forever, even after the memory of that bump fades and long after Skylar says his first words or takes his first steps. I am so grateful to my dear friend Briony from Relish Studios for helping me create these memories. Here are some of my favorite shots from that day: ![Maternity Shoot-37](src) ![Maternity Shoot-39](src) ![Maternity Shoot-38](src) Right now, I can hear little noises coming from the crib—it’s my sweet baby calling for me. Time to say goodbye for now, but not without expressing my heartfelt gratitude for these fleeting yet unforgettable moments.
