In the cultivation of *Pleurotus ostreatus*, when some bacterial bags are fully colonized but no mushrooms or primordia (also known as "head lice") have appeared, it may indicate that the conditions for fruiting are not yet optimal. However, if the fungal bag is healthy and the temperature of the strain is within the suitable range, several effective measures can be taken to encourage smooth fruiting. First, create a temperature difference to stimulate growth. During the day, maintain a slightly higher temperature in the mushroom shed, and at night, ventilate and cool down. This artificial temperature fluctuation can trigger the formation of fruiting bodies. Second, provide light stimulation. Once the bags are fully colonized, roll up the curtains daily to allow indirect sunlight exposure—avoid direct, intense light. If natural light is unavailable, use electric lights as an alternative. Third, apply fungal stimulation. If the culture medium contains excessive nitrogen sources such as bran, rice bran, or urea, it may cause an imbalance between carbon and nitrogen, leading to mycelium mat formation and delayed fruiting. In such cases, gently break the surface with a wire hook or chicken claw-like tool, then spray a 0.5% glucose solution while ensuring proper ventilation and combining it with temperature and light stimulation to promote bud formation. Fourth, use physical stimulation by gently tapping the surface of the mushroom bed or bag with disinfected wood, branches, or palm leaves. This vibration can stimulate the mycelium and encourage the development of primordia. Fifth, implement air stimulation by closing doors and windows or covering the area with plastic to increase CO₂ concentration. After 30 minutes, open the space for ventilation twice daily. Sixth, apply soil pressure stimulation by placing small stones, wood, or bricks on top of the mushroom bed or bacterial bags. Covering the area with 1–1.5 cm of fine soil helps prevent contamination and retains moisture, enhancing overall growth. Lastly, hormone stimulation can be used. Spray the surface or bed with naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) at a concentration of 5–10 parts per million, or 0.1–0.5 parts per million for better results. This method not only accelerates mushroom formation but also increases yield. These techniques, when applied correctly, can significantly improve the success rate of *Pleurotus ostreatus* cultivation.
